INTERREG VI – Ardenne Responsible Tourism for All
With 9 partners from the Ardennes department and the provinces of Luxembourg and Namur, the Maison du Tourisme Pays des Lacs aims to develop sustainable, inclusive and supportive tourism. Another ambition is to take hiking in the Ardennes to an international level.
Summary of achievements :
- Implementing a common, cross-border mode of governance in order to meet the challenges of sustainable tourism;
- Strengthening the resilience of tourism professionals in the face of climate change impacts by involving local residents in tourism governance and development;
- Developing a range of sustainable tourism products, holidays and services, especially those adapted to the expectations of people with specific needs or in financial difficulty;
- Developing an innovative slow tourism offering, accessible to all and coordinated across the cross-border region.
