Description
For all war aviation fans, the Florennes airbase, home of the 2nd tactical wing of the Belgian Armed Forces Air component, houses a magnificent museum. It is dedicated to the memory of the Colonel Aviator Raymond Lallemant, DFC and Bar, RAF hero, founder and first commander of the Florennes 2nd Wing. In a fantastic setting, it presents airplanes and other objects from the world of aeronautics. Over more than 1,500 square metres, the airplanes at the Florennes airbase that have made history are: Fully restored spitfire, F-84, Mirage, F-16, etc. Many of the Colonel Aviator Lallemant’s souvenirs: objects and documents from 1943 to the present day.
