Description
An itinerary of 4 km enables you to explore the castle park, installed in the famous site of the Grand Jardin visited by Louis XIV. When you leave the park you walk past the listed castle of Longueval (XVIIth century, under refurbishment) and continue the walk towards the Assumption church to then reach the Market Square where you can admire one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau facades in the Charleroi Region (listed), as well as the work in memory of Jeff Bodart. Follow the rue Ferrer, rue Beaucaire and rue Armand Bocquet to reach the central cemetery. It contains several beautiful mausoleums, including the one sculpted by Jef Lambeau in memory of the Henin-Vertongen family.
