Promenade de l'Eau Blanche

Description

This walk is through peaceful countryside, where the marshy valleys marry harmoniously with the flowing waters of the rivers. Along the route are sources and streams that together form the two valleys of the region: the valleys of Eau Blanche whose name comes from the whitish colour left by the river’s chalk bed and the Eau Noire, whose shaly bed gives a darker reflection. Located above the cliff is the place named ‘Franc Bois’, where the discovery of silex and tools bear witness to the presence of man since the palaeolithic era. Near the old fortifications, there is a remarkable view of the village of Lompret.
