Practical information
Description
Its name is inevitably associated with beer and cheese. However, Chimay hides many other treasures. To walk in Chimay is to reconnect with the peaceful charm of an old princely city dating back over 500 years. The origins of the principality of Chimay are from the 11th century. In 1804, the Camarans inherited it and still live in Chimay Castle. Take the time to discover its historical centre and the symbols of its Principality: the castle, the collegiate church, the Square, the Fountain of Princes, etc. It is also very pleasant and soothing to walk through its luscious greenery.
