Description
The property of the Walloon Region, Bivort park takes its name from the glassware company Bennert and Bivort. It adheres to very English rules of landscaping. A strech of water in the form of a drop decorates the centre of the site where many rare species grow, which are listed as exceptional. The variegated finery of a white maple (Acer platanoïdes "leopoldii") stands out from the rest of the plan-life. A silver maple (Acer saccharinum) is one of the three finest in Belgium with its 5.25m circumference trunk. The giant thuja (Thuya plicata) has branches in the shape of a candelabra.
