Description
Located in the gateway of Trésignies barracks, a listed monumebnt, the museum offers a panorama of our history through the twelve light-infantry regiments which existed between 1830 and the present day. The visit begins by recalling the gaining of our independence in 1830, the ten-day campaign in 1831 and the long period of peace between 1832 and 1914. Then comes the great hall which is exclusively devoted to the world wars and the liberation in 1944. This is followed by a smal room devoted to Caporal Trésignies, a netional hero. The visit ends by looking at the present day.
