Description
This itinerary takes in the symbolic 'Three Borders' site between Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. You cross the Hesbaye, which is famous for its orchards. A festive journey through the historic centre of Liège to discover its local produce, such as its Liège syrup, Liège meatballs, ciders and abbey beers. You will be charmed by the magnificent scenery at the meeting place of the Sambre and the Meuse in Namur. The city of Namur offers many facets. In fact, it is recommended to stroll around what is known as “the sleeping beauty”, with its historic centre and its citadel, the work of Vauban, Louis XIV’s great military architect.
