Description
From Mariembourg, head for the heights of the Couvinois countryside, dotted with meadows and tiennes, typical Belgian limestone hills rich in biodiversity. In Lompret, enjoy the extraordinary landscape of this small village nestling in the Eau Blanche valley. A small escavèche, a dish typical of the region dating back to the 15th century, can also be enjoyed by the water’s edge. Before arriving in Chimay, you’ll pass by the Virelles nature reserve and its Aquascope, which is well worth the detour.
