The BPS22 opens its cultural season with the first major retrospective in Belgium of French artist Alain Séchas. The exhibition covers his entire career, from his beginnings in the 1980s to his recent unpublished works. Séchas, whose work is rooted in drawing, explores various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and installations. He is particularly known for his characters of cats and martians, depicted with humor or disillusionment. The exhibition juxtaposes figurative and abstract works, offering a reflection on society and the act of painting.
